November 15 and 16, 2008 were red letter days here at Immanuel Baptist Church. We celebrated 100 Years of God's Grace.
Each of the former living Pastors were able to be in attendance and to participate:
Rev Rodney Benson (1963-1975)
Rev Jim Odens (1975-1980)
Rev Will Peterson (1980-1996)
Rev Dean Fitzsimmons (1997-2003)
A special time of reunion for Westbrook Christian School was held on Saturday night. This was followed by a chalk drawing by Rev. Benson.
Sunday featured messages by each of the other pastors, and alumni choirs, directed by Rev. Benson and current member Dave Van Loh.
Another special touch was that former members and brothers Bob (organ) and Roger (piano) Van Maasdam were able to were able
accompany for the morning service.
A catered meal was provided at our town Community Center. A time of cake and fellowship followed the afternoon service.
It was a blessed time of reunion, for which we give the Lord praise for His continued goodness.
