| | Welcome! Immanuel Baptist Church, Westbrook, MN is located in Cottonwood County in the heart of the prairie in beautiful southwestern Minnesota. We are an independent Baptist Church. Our affiliations: - the Minnesota Baptist Association, a fellowship of independent Baptist churches in Minnesota, specifically geared to church-planting
www.mbaoc.org
- The Southwestern Association of Baptist Churches--A group of Baptist churches in southwest Minnesota that band together to support a camp ministry, a ladies ministry, pastor-wives fellowship, and an annual missions conference.
- the New Testament Association of Baptist Churches, a national fellowship of independent Baptist churches
www.ntaibc.org We take what is commonly called a fundamentalist position. We believe in the Old Time Religion: - The Bible is the fully inspired Word of God
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable... 2 Tim 3:16
- Jesus is the incarnate, virgin-born Son of God
And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us... John 1:14
- Jesus died upon the cross and shed His blood to pay the penalty for our sin, and rose from the dead on the third day
For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit. 1 Peter 3:18
- Salvation is found only by the grace of God as one places their faith solely in the finished work of Christ upon the cross
For by grace are ye save through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8, 9
- Jesus Christ is coming again, prior to the seven-year Tribulation, to rapture the believer, and one day He will come to rule this earth
as King of Kings for one thousand years! - It is important for Bible-believers to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. Jude 3
The music we use in our worship is traditional and God-honoring in its melody and its message. We generally use the King James Version of the Bible in our preaching and teaching, yet we recognize that there are other good essentially literal versions that are appropriate for study and reading, such as the New King James Version and the New American Standard Bible and the English Standard Version.
The pulpit emphasis is expository preaching--preaching the Word of God, exposing what God has to say and exalting our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Immanuel Baptist Church has been serving the Lord faithfully since 1908. We celebrated our 100th Anniversary on November 15, 16, 2008.
Westbrook Christian School has been one of the ministries of
our church since 1978. However, due to lack of enrollment, it recently closed.
We have a wonderful Savior! The good news of the Gospel is that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) Every person is a sinner in need of a Savior Jesus Christ took our sin payment on the Cross of Calvary Each person who repents of his sin and puts his trust in the Lord Jesus is gloriously born again Salvation includes forgiveness of sin, peace, joy and the assurance of an eternal home in heaven
Please give us a call or email us if we can be of any help to you. Yours in the Savior, Rob Adams, Pastor 507.274.5556 (church) 507.360.3524 (cell) |
